About Simplify Sales Tax

Simplify Sales Tax is an independent guide to the Streamlined Sales Tax (SST) program, and it’s published and funded by TaxCloud, one of the six certified providers this site covers. Who publishes Simplify Sales Tax

Why this site exists

The Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board publishes the authoritative material on the program, written for the people who administer it. It tells you what the rules are. It’s thinner on the questions a business asks first: whether the program applies to you, what it costs, what it doesn’t cover, and which certified provider fits your situation.

That’s the gap this site works in. We answer one question per page, trace every factual claim to a primary source, and cover all six certified providers on the same criteria.
